This talented and expressive group
of young artists were sent in by
Steve and Theresa (Portsigns@aol.com).
Theresa teaches art in her community of
Granville, North Carolina.

The Children were instructed on how
to mix colors from a primary palette.
This was a challenge, due to the fact that
flesh and brown were not available
as colors to mix with.

ARTFaces | ARTPlaces uses self-portraits
as an index to a biography on each artist,
and this group chose to follow suit with
these colorful self-representations.

Art is truly a mirror to the soul and even more
interesting is to see how children view themselves.

Brittany P. Age 11

"Brittany" is a 6th grader whose interests lie in drawing,
dancing, cheerleading, horseback riding and reading.
She wants to go to the Georgia Institute of Art.

Riley W. Age 7

"Riley" is a second grader who loves drawing and
painting along with soccer and riding horses.

Kevin D. Age 11

"Kevin" is a 6th grader who likes cars and drawing.
He appreciates good art equipment for his work.
He is interested in all sports and likes to help his
dad at his nursery and garden supply business.


ARTKids would like to applaud the Granville County Trio
for being the first group on the ARTKids Gallery Website.
