Stasik
Age 10

ARTKids welcomes 10 year old Stasik Shpanin from Baku, Azerbaijan. Already gaining world recognition, this remarkable artist's work is now exhibited on the pages of ARTKids. A member of various festivals, Stasik is a winner of many international art contests in; Azerbaijan, Israel, Japan, Russia, and the USA. Stasik's also appears on the cover of the Millenium Calendar 2000.

For five years, Stasik has engaged in the artist group led by Tofik Ismailov, Palace of Children in Baku, Azerbaijan and presented viewers his youthful creative works. Stasik's Art Leader in Baku is T.V. Kessar, a well-known speaker in Azervaijan. What is most impressive is that Stasik has already had 3 SOLO Exhibitions, the first in Baku, Azerbaijan, and the second and third in Salerno and Olivetro-Chitta, Italy.

Stasik is familiar with several mediums including Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, and Oil Sticks. It is said that he captures his subjects quickly, saying, "I see, I shall do it myself!" His fearless and independent nature only hints at the maturity of skill level this young artist exhibits. Stasik's father Vladimir Shpanin, living in Israel, seems to be his biggest fan, and offers his son an astounding amount of support. Assertive and to the point, Mr. Shpanin e-mailed me several times, interested in getting Stasik in the ARTKids Gallery and Studio Website. I receive A LOT of e-mails from schools and individuals interested in joining ARTKids, but rarely do they follow through. I asked Mr. Shpanin for images and had them within 24 hours along with a complete biography.
